From Mouth to Mouth
The journal “a glimpse of” brings together works by contemporary writers and visual artists in order to generate a hybrid form of narrative. All works of contents are linked associatively.
The paper Issue 02 titled “from mouth to mouth” is dedicated to human mouth as an organ of speech, a space of silence and a channel of inarticulate sounds. Authors and artists from various cities, including Aberystwyth, Athens, Kobe, Naples, Los Angeles and Melbourne, share with us their original experimental writing and visualized idiosyncratic thoughts. The paper aglimpseof 02 features new works by Harold Abramowitz, Andrea Brady, Vahni Capildeo, Maria Grazia Capozzi, Sarah Crewe, Yoko Danno, Jeremy Hight, Alice Hui-Sheng Chang, Dimitra Ioannou, Michael Jacobson, Jane Joritz-Nakagawa, Dionisis Kavallieratos, Anthony Katsouris, Denis Lhomme, Nathanaël, Apostolos Ntelakos, John Morgan, Nina Papaconstantinou, Theodoros Chiotis, and republished work by Eileen Myles, and Jessie Scott.
Soundless, or not, monologues, cries of anger, biological metaphors, figures of speech and out of tune vocalizations compose a fluid dimension, in nuanced tones narrative of the human-body-mouth. It opposes the stereotype and the archetype through the critical, penetrating, erotic and unofficial voicings of its language investigations.
The paper edition of «a glimpse of» conveys the idea of a hybrid narrative from its homonymous, digital edition.
