Print issue 3: crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo

The music for the video is an arrangement of Simeon Ten Holt’s ‘Canto Ostinato’ for toy instruments by Alexandros Drosos (2016).

We are online, but we love ink! This is an update about our latest project, and crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

Although nowadays there are no funds for literary and art magazines in Greece, we felt it was crucial to create another print issue (#3). Now, whether we live in Athens, Boston, Bucharest, or Glasgow, we share similar conditions and needs. How are we equipping ourselves for reality? Where do we imagine ourselves less vulnerable? How will we shape new ground upon which we can imagine and thrive? How will we claim space for tenderness, empathy, awareness, humor and beauty?

We put up a beautiful and inspiring issue! “Realities and the Rituals of the Upside Down” features great poetry (including 4 poems by Alice Notley and Sandra Simonds!!!!), original artworks, hybrid essays, a conversation with CAConrad, critical ideas, Narratives in Progress (on consolatory art, translation, and affective sound), columns (on literature & bowels, urban rituals, Athens).

We want to raise money to cover the printing and production costs (crowdfunding runs until December 10). Please check our page on Indiegogo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-glimpse-of-athens-based-cultural-magazine#/, (we have some wonderful, limited edition rewards), and become our friends, supporters, contributors or fairies!

Help us meet our goal! And, please share far and wide.

THANK YOU!
